  • Live prices, dated — or none at all

    Every price you see was pulled from Amazon on the date we stamp on it. When we can’t verify a current price, we say “Check price” rather than show you a stale number.

  • We haven’t field-tested these — and we say so

    Gear we claim to have field-tested: 0. We own no test lab and no sample closet. What we did instead: compiled the published specs and ran the price-per-performance math. Here’s the whole method.

  • Buyer-first, not commission-first

    We earn a commission if you buy through our links, but it never changes a pick. When the cheaper option is the right one, that’s the one we point at — and we’ll tell you when to skip a product entirely.
